The performance was not repeated. Perhaps Habgood was Thomas Habgood, a music seller who had a shop in King Street, Golden Square. In 1759 Thomas Habgood published A Pocket Companion For the Guittar Containing XL of the newest and most favourite Minuets Country-Dances Jiggs Airs &c. All carefully Transposed & properly adapted to that Instrument, To which is added the Prussian March in two parts And favourite Hymn for Easter.

He was, we believe, the John Hackett who in 1757 edited and published A Collection of Select Epigrams By the Most Eminent Hands. Published by Mr. Hackett and Select and Remarkable Epitaphs In Two Volumes, Ed. John Hackett. Hacketts, Mr [fl. 17981802], house servant. A Mr Hacketts was a minor house servant at Covent Garden Theatre from 179899 at least through 18012. On 29 May 1799 and 11 June 1800 he shared benefit tickets with numerous other house personnel. His salary in 18001801 and 18012 was 12s.

The Lord Chamberlain's accounts indicate that a Mrs Hackett was a member of the King's Company from about 1673 to 1675. She may have been one of the minor performers. Mrs Hackett is not otherwise known, and The London Stage does not list her. Hackett, John 17341761, actor, editor. John Hackett, born in 1734, entered Westminster School in September 1745, at the age of 11, and matriculated at Balliol College, Oxford, on 5 March 1752, at 17. Sometime in 1755, presumably before 1 September, the Daily Public Advertiser announced that "At the Page 2 Little Theatre in the Haymarket this day will be opened a Scheme" for instructing gentlemen to speak from the pulpit, the bar, and the stage, "By Mr.
